Seriously unimpressed with Wavesecure's Purchase Page

#“Seriously unimpressed with Wavesecure’s Purchase Page” I just signed up for what I thought was an Annual Subscription to Wavesecure on Android. How would you read the above screen? It looks to me like I have selected 12 months and the the 3 month option has been disabled. But after purchase I saw that my subscription runs out in October. So somehow I have bought a 3-month Annual Subscription? »

Analogue TV RIP - No of course it's not Ireland

#“Analogue TV RIP - No of course it’s not Ireland” According to the Guardian, of 26.8 million TV homes in the UK, 23.8 already have digital via Freeview boxes, satellite and cable (figures from TV ratings body Barb). If, like me, you live in a region that has already seen the switchover, then you'll know that, for the most part, the operation has been a very smooth one (despite what the initial naysayers predicted). »

Business Priorities vs Customer Needs

#“Business Priorities vs Customer Needs” There appears to be a bigger and bigger disconnect between the needs of Twitter users and the providers of Twitter clients (including Twitter's own web interface). Ryanair, Europe's Healthiest Airline

#“Ryanair, Europe’s Healthiest Airline” via youtube.com Gawd 'elp me but I love Ryanair. I suggested removing at least one of the loos years ago. More room for seats. Their vertical "seat" idea may be a piss-take but it's genius. I bet in 10 years time they discover that vertical seats reduce the chances of DVT by 50%. Them Michael O'Leary will make them the more expensive option. Could they even integrate mini-treadmills on each vertical seat as an up-sell? »

Yahoo launched three applications for Android yesterday. Cancelled them today.

#“Yahoo launched three applications for Android yesterday. Cancelled them today.” via phandroid.com Yes an exaggeration but unless Carol Bartz gives an ironclad guarantee that she will quit if any app or site that they launch is not fully backed by Yahoo for at least the next three years, I'm never touching another Yahoo app. It's looking like her legacy will be the CEO who wouldn't pay Best Buy $100 for a 1TB hard disk to store all of Geocities. »

Woot CEO writes greatest post-acquisition employee email of all time

#“Woot CEO writes greatest post-acquisition employee email of all time” We think now is the right time to join with Amazon because, quite simply, every company that becomes a subsidiary gets two free downloads until the end of July, and we very much need that new thing with Trent Reznors wife on our iPods. via businessinsider.com Some day, some day, I want to write an email as utterly brilliant as this. »
